Postcards: Japan
Japanese Postcards
Japan is famous for beautiful paper goods. Their postcards are no exception.
I don't know the source of this set of postcards. They are licensed, appear to be Japanese, based on the print quality, and have some amazing photos, some not seen elsewhere. The reverse sides have lovely art, too. This set of 16 are printed in brilliant, high resolution color, on ultra-glossy paper.

Nippon Herald promo series. Nippon Herald is the Japanese film/DVD distributor. These came in a special envelope folder. It is very difficult to find an intact set. They are printed on an unusual paper with the texture of ricepaper.

Japan Postcard book, from the Japanese theatre catalogue. Postcards detach from the softbound covers. There is a sticker sheet, as well as an unusual postcard with lots of small images inside.

Japan Roadshow magazine promo postcard set. My set came affixed to this heavy paper backing. There are two "stacks" on the sheet.

Japanese theatre catalogue postcards.
Hands down, these are the most gorgeous Lord of the Rings postcards printed on the planet. Beautiful, glowing colors, glossy paper, unusual image combinations not seen elsewhere, and the resolution? These pictures jump right off the card!
