Chirashi are mini posters distributed by Japanese theatres, to promote upcoming feature films.
The art is sometimes different from that seen on Western items, as in this case. This one does not fold open. The reverse side has information on the cell phone charm set, including photos of how the pie shaped pieces form a circle, and how to obtain them.
The 2004 date is not an error. Return of the King was not released in Japan until early that year. Mint condition. |

Chirashi are mini posters distributed by Japanese theatres, to promote upcoming feature films. The art is sometimes different from that seen on Western items, as in this case.
This one does not fold open. The reverse side has a golden tinted view of Gandalf riding towards Minas Tirith, as well as a few thumbnails including some of one of the earlier Wellington premieres.
Please note, it is dated "2004", because Return of the King was released a couple of months later in Asia than in the West. That is not a misprint. Excellent condition, has been neatly rubberstamped on the reverse with the name and phone # of a theatre.

| Japan Accordion Style Mini Program |
I'm not sure what to call this, so have dubbed it a "mini-program". It was printed in Japan for Return of the King. This small program is pleated, accordion style, and has 9 doubled sided segments. It gives what seems to be a little synopsis of the characters, both good and bad, some information on the history of the weapons, thumbnail pictures from the first two installments, and a two segment map of Middle Earth, showing where various events took place, complete with thumbnail photos.
Excellent condition.

VHTF uncut bread card from the French baker, Doo Wop. This is card #4, and pictures Aragorn, Gandalf Ranger of Gondor, and Faramir. These came in a bag of chocolate chip mini French snack loaves. When you cut these up, they become a TCG. Snatch one of these while you can. It took me six years to complete my set.

Limited edition "CyberCene" lithograph, most likely produced as a DVD preorder promo. There were several versions issued around the same time, for different video chains.
Fold down the Certificate of Authenticy to reveal the picture. It is self framed in a border which is the stones from Helm's Deep, and has an integral cardboard easel in the back.
This is a small format CyberCene, measuring 5 x7 closed. It is in mint condition, # B0948 of 4,000. All the CyberCenes had issues with tiny while peel marks, as does this one. |

Please note, image is backwards intentionally. Since it is an iron-on, it is in reverse. Mint unused condition, instructions are on the reverse side (in French of course!). Entire sheet measures appx 6 x 6 inches.

This is a promo paper photoframe, promoting the Singapore premiere on TV, reminiscent of those pop-up books we enjoyed when we were kids. You slip the photo inside the popup One Ring. There is art on all sides of this. Bright colors. Other angle shows Frodo with Sting. Outside shows the Nazgul on horseback on on side, and the Fellowship silhouette on the other.
One of my favorites, just because the art is great, the colors so nice, and it was such a unique idea for an ad campaign. Beautifully designed, just one of those things it is a pleasure to pull out of the album and fiddle around with.
