Stickers & Decals

Licensed stickers came in every shape, image, and color imaginable, and were issued in lots of forms. A collector can find stationery stickers, car window decals, bumper stickers, iron-on patches, and many different varieties of Point of Sale window decals and clings.

Merlin Stickers published by Topps, UK (yes, that Topps, the same one who prints baseball cards) Sold in UK, Italy, France, Spain, Germany, and other countres. Collectors would purchase an album, which came with a centerfold poster, and then buy packs of randomly packed stickers. Stickers came six or seven to a pack, with one foil sticker inserted about every one and a half or two packs. When completed, the albums formed wonderful, colorful movie picture books, with many images that were not available elsewhere. Foil stickers were for use on the oversized centerfold poster. There was a book/poster printed for each of the trilogy installments. At one time, LOTR collectors had set up a loose trading circle, as we tried to help one another complete our books. As with other LOTR items, some stickers were harder to find, and in great demand.

South Africa Celia Trading Sticker Packs some packs are holographic, some are metallic, some are plain. These are quite nice, and accidentally provided spoilers, since they unintentionally provided images of characters which had not yet been released to the public, i.e. Smeagol and Deagol Package reverse indicates these are from Zaire, however, I got them from South Africa. Excellent quality, and most definitely licensed. Very, very hard to find
