Tickets and Invitations
Before I started organizing photos for this page, I had no idea how large it would be, but soon realized, with all the possible categories, this page is a lengthy one.
There are tickets for press, previews, premieres, press tickets to previews and premieres, staff events, staff tickets to premieres, tickets for caterers to be able to get in to premieres to feed the press and/or staff, tickets to Oscar parties, fan conventions, even tickets to the bleacher grandstands overlooking the red carpet at some events.
But.....the one thing in common is, they almost always have fabulous art.
I've tried to divide these into some semblance of order....
Special Press Event Tickets
The Most Special Ticket
of them all:
the Canne Film Festival
holographic Press Pass
This pass permitted special invited guests to view the first LOTR footage shown publicly. Guests were invited to a huge private party, complete with a Hobbit hole, and a Prancing Pony bar designed to make guests feel Hobbit-sized. Then they were treated to fifteen minutes of footage from Mines of Moria, and were able to trumpet to the world to fear not! Jackson had done it! |

Elaborate invitation came in a parchment style envelope, slipcovered with a paper band, and folded open origami style.
Once opened, it contained an invitation and a card.
