Australia Blue Opal Puzzles Puzzles are mounted to cardboard "trays" There are at least four versions. I've pictured two here.
Australia K-zone Pickers Quite possibly one of the stupidest games ever devised by man. The "pickers" are small cardboard discs with velcro backs. You toss them on the ground, and then you bounce a bungee cord mounted tennis ball at them, hoping the velcro will stick to the ball.   There are many different versions (well over 100) of the pickers, with the holographic generally being the hardest to get, and considered the most desirable. They were sold in small foil packs, like baseball cards, as well as special "Picker Can" sets. Some were holographic, some were cartoon characters, some rectangular,  others were photographic images of characters and scenery. Mimicking the success of Pokemon, some pickers were extremely difficult to obtain, to whip small children (and avid collectors) into a frenzy.         Each pack also contained a sticker sheet and a hideously ugly and poorly printed card.   Some sticker samples are shown here>>>>
Canada & USA Wrebbit Puzzles         These beautiful puzzles were available in both the USA and Canada.                                   Some of the puzzles are 3d, for example Bag End and Orthanc (not shown).
Canada Toybiz MIddle Earth Sword This may have been an exclusive for Grands stores.
Eastern Europe OK, I forgot the details on these. I think they came from an oatmeal type product in either Hungary, Turkey, or Czechoslovakia. I think there's several version, but this is the only one I've been able to get ahold of.

Germany Hasbro Parker Bros Yahtzee Game
Germany Mega-Merchandise Series of toy trucks One of the strangest Lord of the Rings licences, this series of trucks was originally planned to go up to 24 or more. Only twelve versions were ultimately issued, however.   One of the few licensed products with dismally poor quality, but worthwhile to have in your collection just for the WTF!!!!!  factor.

Japan Konami Puzzle Konami released several puzzles in Japan.
Japan Bisty Pachinko Game
Japan Tomy Gashapon Mini-viewers Gashapon is the Japanese term for small trinkets dispensed via gumball-like machines. These were usually found in theatre lobbies. You click a button on the side, and see Viewmaster style images. Really nice little gadget. Tomy also did a series of small plastic "busts", too. I've pictured the egg from the other series, so you can see what the eggs look like.
Netherlands Keltik Dart box, flights, and darts. The darts were quite expensive, but the colorful flights make a nice and unusual collectible.   There were five versions of the flights, and several versions of the heavy darts. I was, unfortunately, only able to afford the Aragorn version. My husband's patience understandably has limits, and I had hit them that day!
New Zealand Air NZ Promotional puzzle cube VERY rare, folds & unfolds to show several tourist/movie scenes.   I think this is one of the most beautiful promo items out there.
Russia Astfel Puzzle Terrible quality, but one of the few licensed Russian movie items.

Spain LaRazon Newspaper Parchisi promotion   This neat promotion was conducted by the LaRazon newspaper in Madrid. Small plastic Parchisi game pieces were taped to newspapers.   Figures included Frodo, Aragorn, Saruman, Gandalf, Galadriel, and an odd, glitter-flecked Uruk.                     When a reader had collected enough, he could send off for a cardboard gameboard. >>>                     There was also a contest of some sort, where readers could enter to win a heavy wooden gameboard. These were very hard to obtain. I show one side of the wooden board here>>>>>

USA Master Replicas Sting FX Sword This sword was to be the forefront of an entire series of movie replicas, by this company, who has produced a very successful Star Wars line. For some reason, the LOTR series didn't catch on, though. I can't understand why, because the quality on this light up/audio sword is just outstanding.
